Operating Director for The Newbie Film Academy and renowned instructor, is dedicated to empowering aspiring storytellers and filmmakers by sharing her expertise in the art of movie-making. With a passion for storytelling and a wealth of experience in the industry, Joan has honed her skills in writing?, producing, directing, cinematography, and editing. Through her dynamic and engaging teaching style, Joan inspires young filmmakers to unleash their creativity, explore their unique voices and master the technical and business aspects of making a movie. With a proven track record of guiding aspiring filmmakers to success, Joan Montreuil is the perfect mentor to instruct and inspire youth on their cinematic journey.  She is excited to work with the acting summer camps.

Director, Writer, Acting Coach, Producer. A woman with many talents delivers authentic stage plays, acting courses, films and more through her production company DD’s Showbiz. Deloris has been a part of the Houston arts community since 2012. 

Her passion for the youth and community inspired her to start her 501c3 Youth Acting Corner. “At Youth Acting Corner, we are dedicated to providing children with a variety of learning techniques. When the children are able to touch, feel and listen it contributes to their learning. Her student participates in film productions. She collaborate with the Brilliant Women In Film and As 1 Akins Productions. Her youth learn hands-on behind the scenes and in front of the camera.” 

The New York native moved from upstate NY to Houston where she studied business and received a Bachelors Business Administration in 2005. Her passion for acting never went away and she was led to start a production a company. After years of helping others Deloris realized her skill as a listener and guide for other and pursued her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. acting summer camps
